Wasa Footballcup’s vision – more than a football tournament

Wasa Footballcup aims to be Finland’s most fun and meaningful youth tournament. Our goal is to create a cup where joy, teamwork, and fair play are at the heart of everything – both on and off the pitch.

We give children and teens aged 6–15 the chance to grow as players, teammates, referees, and people through positive experiences. Everyone gets to play – the tournament has no competitive divisions, so the focus is on fun, participation, and learning rather than results. At the same time, knockout rounds match teams by skill level, creating balanced and rewarding games for all.

Wasa Footballcup is also a place for new friendships and life lessons. Kids and teens from across the Nordics, the Baltics, and Europe meet and create memories that last long after the final whistle. Every participant should feel seen, included, and inspired.

The cup is also a development platform for young referees, who get the chance to officiate real matches with support from experienced mentors.

But Wasa Footballcup is about more than football. We create a full experience filled with energy, friendship, and fun – from the unforgettable opening parade to disco, activities, and team bonding off the pitch. Our ambition is for every player, leader, and supporter to go home feeling part of something bigger.
